"Kittitas County is alive with the creative work of female artists! For the last six years, Femme Locale has worked to host an all-inclusive, open-call show for women artists of all levels. The artworks in this show range widely, including sculpture, paintings, textiles, and others. Look forward to an exhibit whose styles and media move from traditional and subtle, to edgy and unconventional. This collective show invests in the creative process of women, and empowers them to tell their stories, reveal what is in their hearts, and share what lights them up.
To paraphrase what our organizer, Robin Mayberry, has said: The creative and generative force of women is the most powerful force on the planet. It is hurricanes. The cyclic rhythms of the seasons. It's the force that fuels the zygote to become a fetus to become a newborn baby. It's the aspen grove that covers miles from the roots of a single tree."

"The idea for Femme Locale was birthed by Danney Parkins and Tabitha Klucking, and continues to be powered by many, including curator Scott Mayberry, organizer Robin Mayberry, this year’s gallery hosts Karl Schwiesow & Crista Ann Ames, and many volunteers! Historically, Femme Locale has been graciously hosted by the 420 Loft Art Gallery, Gallery One, and this year will be hosted by The Palace Gallery."
